County of San Diego – San Vicente Road Improvement Project

Project Synopsis
CPM Partners supported the County staff with the time and cost management aspects of this project by providing scheduling and claims support services on an as-needed basis.

Project Synopsis
The San Vicente Road Improvement project consisted of realigning and widening portions of San Vicente from Warnock Drive to Wildcat Canyon Road (2.25 miles) to reduce a number of curves and hills and improve motorist line-of-sight. The project as-bid involved three stages of construction each requiring a unique traffic handling plan which included the construction of temporary access between east and westbound traffic at intersections. During the project, the County and contractor developed a revised build sequence which only required two detours benefiting the overall project. The project also involved significant earthwork and grading and was subject to numerous environmental constraints.

Services Provided
CPM Partners scope included construction schedule review and as-needed claims support services. CPM Partners personnel provided office engineering in support of the County’s project management team, CPM scheduling, and claims support including general construction management support services.
