County of San Diego – South Santa Fe Rd
Project Synopsis
CPM Partners provided scheduling assistance to San Diego County – Department of Public Works as part of the 3-year As-Needed Countywide Construction Management (CM) services contract for the South Santa Fe Road Improvement Project.
The South Santa Fe Avenue project consisted of widening of existing South Santa Fe Avenue to four lanes and addition of center median from the Vista City limit at Montgomery Drive to east of Woodland Drive. Project consisted of the relocation of the existing North County Transit Railroad crossing, undergrounding of all overhead utilities, and construction of water, sewer and storm drain facilities. Project included the construction of roadway, retaining walls, traffic signal and safety lighting system, traffic control, landscaping and Water Pollution Control. Utility work included facilities for Buena Sanitary District, Vista Irrigation Water District, SDG&E, AT&T and Cox Communication.
Services Provided
CPM Partners services included review of the baseline schedule and previously submitted monthly updated schedules. CPM performed schedule analysis and identified future controlling activities on the critical path that if completed sooner than scheduled would reduce overall time of performance. Completion of these activities did in fact shorten the overall scheduled completion date. CPM Partners provided monthly schedule reviews, performed TIA and what-if analysis and evaluate delay claims received by the County.
