Edward Park brings 35 years of experience in all facets of construction and construction management. Ed started his construction career in 1973 as a Licensed General Contractor and Master Builder. Working in this capacity for 20-years has given Ed a keen understanding of the construction process, means and methods, and an appreciation of the contractor’s perspective. This knowledge and understanding has proven to be invaluable assets in his role as Project Controls Manager.

Finding that his true passion lies in planning, scheduling and controls, Ed continued his career in construction as Schedule Engineer, and later as Senior Cost Schedule Engineer where he was responsible for the development of multiple project schedules for commercial projects, the International platform, Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Energy (DOE), and the U.S.A.C.E. Many of these projects required statistical and graphic monthly Project Status Reports (PSR).

Ed later became Regional Project Controls Manager of Capital Projects for one of the nation’s largest construction management companies where he was responsible for management of the estimating, planning and scheduling teams’ project controls efforts involved in the $12 billion expansion of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) including the $2 billion Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Ed provided direction and assistance to Program Management team and reviewed deliverables and documents to ensure contract compliance.

Ed has a depth of experience in construction management project controls with experience in all aspects of contract compliance, estimating, cost engineering, earned value, critical path method (CPM) scheduling, document management, forensic project analysis, claims avoidance, time impact and delay analysis, claims and litigation support. His specialty lies in project controls, professional forensic estimating, litigation support and project claim analysis, CPM scheduling and project auditing.

Over his career, he has created & managed Project Controls systems for estimating, planning and scheduling, cost controls and document management; provided claims and litigation support for all aspects of construction and post construction impacts.

Ed has extensive experience in training project teams in all aspects of Project Controls and is the author of several training manuals and Project Control procedures.
